It’s officially Christmas time, which means that holiday flicks will become the buzz, new and old. Netflix announced its annual roll-out of said holiday flicks. There are 6 new movies debuting: Holiday in the Wild, Let It Snow, Klaus, The Knight Before Christmas, Holiday Rush, and A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby, one released every week in November and December.
Holiday in the Wild is about a woman named Kate (Kristin Davis) who embarks on a personal vacation to find her purpose in Africa after her husband abruptly ended their marriage. She befriends her pilot Derek (Rob Lowe) who ends up showing her the true magic of Christmas. This debuted on Netflix on November 1, just in time for the start of the season.
Let It Snow, which debuted on November 8, is a teen rom-com starring Isabella Moner and Kiernan Shipka, this movie follows a group of high school seniors whose fate is left up in the air after a snowstorm hits their small town.
Klaus transports kids to a frozen island above the Arctic Circle, more specifically, a postal academy on the island. Klaus and a few other characters help bring Christmas magic and holiday cheer to the remote island and its inhabitants. This debuted on November 15.
Vanessa Hudgens stars in yet another Hallmark-like Christmas movie, this time on Netflix. The Knight Before Christmas, which debuted on November 21, stars Brooke
(Hudgens), a science teacher, who falls for a 13th century Knight, Sir Cole (Josh Whitehouse) who mysteriously time traveled to present day to complete a quest.
Next on the list is Holiday Rush, a family-friendly movie dealing with the true meaning of Christmas, which debuted on November 28. Radio DJ Rashon “Rush” Williams (Romany
Malco) spoils his 4 kids with splendid gifts from their lists and then some. Unfortunately, he loses his job right before the holiday, which forces him to simplify his luxurious lifestyle and discover that Christmas isn’t about the best gifts, but rather the time spent with loved ones.
The last new movie of the season and first one to debut in
December 5 is A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby. This is the third movie in the A Christmas Prince saga that started in 2017, followed by A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding in 2018. After the hectic year of the wedding, the royals in Aldovia prepare for the baby of Queen Amber (Rose McIver) and King Richard (Ben Lamb). Their lives get turned upside down when a priceless artifact is stolen from the hands of the king, causing mass panic in the town.
