On Wednesday, January 11^th, 2023 the Griffith Wrestling team took on Hammond Central for the last home meet of the season. The seniors recognized were Kyler Barham, Connor Cervantes, and William Potts. Lynsey Martin, the senior wrestling manager, was also recognized. This exciting night brought about wins by Zach Kenny, Jackson Davenport, William Potts, Landon Westenfeld, Connor Cervantes, and Ryan Rose. There was also  a special recognition of senior Connor Cervantes, for achieving 100 wins throughout his entire high school career.  Cervantes said, “I knew it was going to be my 100^th win, and I was really motivated to win that match. It felt good, you know 100^th win is accomplishment, so it was really exciting to win 100 times.” The panthers fell to Hammond Central with a final score of 37-33 but put up a great effort and performed extremely well. The night was full of successful wins and great recognition.
