National Honor Society Induction
Last Wednesday, May 3rd, Griffith High school held the annual National Honors Society (NHS) Induction. Members of NHS were first recognized if they met 35 service hours within the year. Seniors received their tassel and cord for graduation if they met their total number of required service hours. Members who have been in NHS for two years were required 45 hours, while those who this was their first year were required 35 hours.
After everyone was presented with their awards, NHS president Madi Worosz announced the new set of members made up of sophomores and juniors who fit the requirements.
To conclude the event, the senior officers passed down their positions to the incoming juniors. President Madi Worosz passed the torch to Sarah Issa, Vice President Elijah Neal passed down to Hannah Musa, Secretary Dainie Neely gave her position to Thomas Bukowksi, and Kaylee Sheline passed her Historian position to Brianna Lopez.
