Did you miss your chance to see last weekend’s production of The Play That Goes Wrong, presented by the Griffith Theatre Company? Let’s have a recap!
The Griffith Theatre Company’s production The Play That Goes Wrong premiered Friday afternoon on November 10th and performed through Sunday evening, November 13th. The play was a big hit. After its opening night, the play quickly gained attention and had a great turnout, with an audience count of around 680 people over the three days. The Theatre Company earned a whopping $6,200+ in ticket sales! Audience members raved and posted about the phenomenal show, and people from the community truly enjoyed how funny the actors were.
That’s not all. During the closing night’s intermission, Mrs. Parker announced a call-out meeting for the Jr. High School students. They will be putting on The Wizard of Oz this winter, directed by Mr. Ramos, with the help of student director Sara Oprisko. After the crowd settled down from the news, Mrs. Parker, head director of the GTC, asked for the sound crew to play “Be Our Guest” from the musical Beauty and the Beast as she announced the spring musical. The crow erupted again with excitement! The show had a fantastic turnout, and we congratulate all cast and crew members for putting on such a great show.
