Last Wednesday night, our Griffith Boys Basketball team took on the Bishop Nolle Warriors in an intense showdown for the conference trophy. The starting lineup for the Panthers consisted of Cameron Chandler, AJ Hatch,Gianni Feaster,Colton Strezo , and Jakhari Mackey. As the game started, small forward Savon Miles scored the first 4 points of the game. The half concluded with 3 pointers from both Gianni Feaster, and AJ Hatch which caught the Panthers back up. Despite a valiant comeback from the Panthers they’re attempts were ultimately unsuccessful. Savon Miles was the teams leading scorer with 10 points ,and 4 rebounds. Colten Sterzo contributed 7 points and 6 rebounds to the game. AJ Hatch also added 6 points, and 6 rebounds .Cameron Chandler gave 6 points, with Jalen Wilson adding 5 points and Jatain Flowers contributing final 4 points to the score. Even though our Panthers lost, their ability to work hard ,and fend off opponents to catch up as a team is astonishing. The final score was 55-44 it was a close game, and we are proud of our Panthers!
