Ms. Strabavy is the new secretary at Griffith High School. She previously worked at Whiting with Mr. Chance when he was a teacher and as a principal. When she retired from Whiting, Mr. Chance told her that if she ever wanted to finish out her career, then he would open up a spot for her. Strabavy, seeing a chance to walk through a different door, Strabavy took it. When working down in the bubble (Strabavy’s office), she says she doesn’t meet a lot of the students. She said, “Back at Whiting, I was right in the middle and saw lots of students all day.” Now, Ms. Strabavy spends her days answering phones and opening the door. Occasionally, parents will drop something off for their kid, and Ms. Strabavy makes sure it gets to them. We have also seen a new color appear in our parking lot: lime green. Ms. Strabavy, being the owner of the car, shares how she has always had a knack for hot rod cars. She said she previously owned a 2007 Ford Shelby GT500. It was a manual, and for various reasons, she decided it was getting too hard to drive, so her husband decided to get her a new hot rod. So, when they went to the dealership, and she laid her eyes on the lime green Dodge Challenger, she was blown away. Ms. Strabavy says that she also can’t wait to meet many more students, so stop by and say hi!
