On April 19, 20, and 21, the Griffith Theater Company will be performing the Disney musical Beauty and the Beast, with a preview during school hours on the 18. 

The company has high hopes with what they wish to do for this musical. It consists of a large set, multiple set pieces, and many props. Each actor will be dressed in unique outfits that fit their character. “They pretty much had to make all the costumes from scratch. This is a pretty unique show,” Braden said. 

Each song is being practiced and worked through by Mr. Dore carefully, making sure no mistakes are made. He has worked hard with the pit orchestra director, Ms. Hernandez. Hernandez will be directing the live music for the show, making sure it is wonderful for each performance. “It’s really nice,” Braden said about the show’s musical aspect. All in all, the Griffith Theater Company can’t wait to show off the full musical, so please, be their guest. 

Tickets cost $9 for adults, and $8 for children 2-12 and will be sold online and in front of the auditorium. Performances start at 7pm on Friday and Saturday and at 3pm on Sunday.
