GRIFFITH, Ind. — Griffith High School senior Stephine Kacmarzewski has committed to Valparaiso University, where she plans to study nursing.
With four more years of education ahead, Kacmarzewski is excited about the opportunities her degree will offer. Her dedication and hard work have paid off, earning her a substantial scholarship to support her academic goals.
After college, Kacmarzewski hopes to find a job in the nursing field but is also embracing life’s unpredictability. “Go with the flow and remain open to new possibilities,” she said.
Reflecting on her high school experience, Kacmarzewski fondly remembers Senior Prank Night as one of her favorite moments. “The hallways were lined with streamers, and Mr. Chance’s office was completely filled with balloons,” she recalled. “It was a night full of laughter and fun, marking the end of an unforgettable chapter.”
As graduation approaches, Kacmarzewski encourages underclassmen to get involved. Whether joining sports teams, trying out for clubs, or exploring new hobbies, she believes high school is a time to discover passions and make lasting friendships. She also advises students to stand out and remain confident.
“No matter where life takes me, I’m excited for what’s to come and prepared to make the most of every opportunity,” Kacmarzewski said.
