GRIFFITH, Ind.- Griffith High School senior Nolan Davenport has committed to Trine University where he plans to study criminal justice and will be attending college for 4 years. After, he plans to pursue a career as a police officer and eventually become a field agent in the FBI.
Davenport picked Trine because he liked the campus and “the environment is very fitting for me, and I felt at home.” He signed with Trine on March 10.
Davenport’s favorite memories from high school were Junior Prom and Prom Night. His favorite football memory was being at football camp for four days. While they were attending Manchester University’s football camp, they played three scrimmages a day for three days. In between these scrimmages, they messed around in the dorms. “I had the most fun I’ve ever had in my life,” Davenport said. He played football throughout his four years of high school as a linebacker, and he will be playing division three football in college.
He suggests students take theater and choir, and also suggested to take Ms. Larson’s senior composition class, saying “everyone says it’s hard, which it is, but it is worth it.”
As he moves on in life, we wish him the best of luck in all he does.
