Senior Jamiah Frazier placed 23rd and junior Nathan Visak placed 10th at the Indiana Indoor State Track Meet at Indiana State Fairgrounds on March 29, 2025.
Frazier competed in the 60-meter dash, her time was 8.45 and she placed 23rd. “I felt like I did good, but I could have improved my legs and my form while running,” said Frazier. One of her favorite parts of the 60-meter dash was getting 1st place.
Since this is Frazier’s last season, some advice she has implemented in her journey is that “you have so many years to improve. Just because you have one bad day doesn’t mean it is always going to be bad.”
Visak competed in the high jump at the meet. “I think I did great, there is always room for improvement, but I think overall my hard work throughout the off season really paid off,” he said. Some things he recalled he could have improved on was his form, so he could have reached higher heights easier.
One of Visak’s favorite memories of the high jump was the feeling of being in the air and the feeling of clearing a height that he’s been trying to clear for so long. “It’s the greatest feeling when you land on the mat and you know that your form was perfect and you cleared the bar perfectly,” said Visak.
