
Griffith High School held its annual Student Recognition Night on Wednesday, May 14. Recognizing student accomplishments and hard work in the classroom. They also give out many scholarships to seniors planning on attending college.
At the beginning of the night there was a segment to recognize all students on “A” Honor Roll, and all students on “A-B” Honor Roll. Griffith had an extremely impressive amount of honor roll students throughout all grade levels.
Griffith’s administrative staff puts in a lot of effort to put these nights together. Nights like these prove to the Griffith community and student body how much their staff cares about them and their success. This will motivate students to continue to excel in the classroom and strive for more rewards in the future.
Numerous scholarships were given out at the Academic Awards Night. There were multiple History, Math, English Literature, and Publications scholarships given to deserving students. Senior and valedictorian Raphael Guevarra, earned over $20,000 in scholarships, he stated, “I’m super grateful for it, and it makes me feel good knowing my hard work over the years has paid off this much.”
Griffith’s academic success has improved year after year, and the administrative staff is working to continue to improve scores. Griffith staff are extremely proud of their students, and they want nothing but success for them.
