Marvel’s Spider-Man game released September 7, 2018. More than 3.3 million copies had been sold and had achieved several sales records. The main characters name is actually Peter Parker, which is actually his name in the Spider-Man movies. Parker became Spider-Man by being bit by a spider. The game even includes the character Mary Jane, who was Parker’s first love interest, and later became his wife in the Spider-Man movies.

     PlayStation has many exclusive games that are just made for the PS4, including MLB The Show, Uncharted 4, Until Dawn, etc. some were the top selling games, but none of them compare to the recently added Spider-Man. Spider-Man is a superhero that was known before the Spider-Man movie came out in 2002. Since then, there have been many more movies and games that made the hero even more popular. Some critics say that the game isn’t believable. Once players shoot the villains with Spider-Man’s webs, they stick to the surface and can’t get out. But when you move away from them, they somehow disappear. Critics also said that Spider-Man wouldn’t just walk around New York City in his spidey suit. There are different characters that players can play as well. Spider-Man, Mary Jane, Miles Morales, and future superhero’s coming to the add-ons to the game.

The game takes place in New York and has secrets that players can find around the city. One place in the game is the Avengers headquarters. The game includes many villains such as Electro, Taskmaster, Vulture, Rhino, Shocker, Scorpion, Mister Negative, and King Pin. There’s also 26 outfits that Spiderman can wear. Each costume has a special ability and unique look. Also, players have to accomplish certain things in the game to be able to unlock certain ones or the one that they want. Players also are able to just swing around the city and experience secrets if that’s what they want to do. If players just want to relax then they’re able to go around the city and experience the game however they want to.

“The game is amazing because the story behind it goes in so much depth, and you start to enjoy the game because you can relate with Peter. The graphics make the game ten times better because they’re very realistic. My favorite costume to wear is the iron spider outfit because it was in the movie Infinity War. I like it because it gives Spider-Man extra legs to fight with,” said senior Marko Stosic.
