On Saturday the 25th, the cross country team had their last meet before Sectionals. For starters, everyone was on time and the weather couldn’t have been better for this 5 kilometer run. At the meet, the boys ran first and several of them beat their personal records. Sophomore,Tommy Bukowski said, “My race was very good, and I passed a lot of people. I’m proud of my new personal record.” On top of all this, Sophomore, Joseph Lapatra placed 5th at the meet with a time of 17 minutes and 5 seconds.
            After the guys ran, the girls were up next. Just like the boys, they put forth their best effort and many of them received times that they were very proud of. Senior, Jacoba Babin said, “Highland is always a fast course, so everyone can expect fast time. Everyone dropped their times from the last meet, and I got a personal best.”
