Girls basketball senior night

This past Thursday, the Griffith Lady Panthers basketball team faced off against the Bishop Noll Warriors. The team and everyone in attendance celebrated the six seniors. The seniors included Jewelia Rivera, Chloe Smith, Alex Strauch, Anneliese Streeter, and Nina Zielke. Clara Burkhard, who is a junior foreign exchange student from France, was also recognized as a senior. The underclassman supported their senior teammates by decorating the gym and making posters. Each individual senior was commemorated by picture collages and gifts provided by their teammates and coaches. The seniors walked the court accompanied by their families before the game. Despite the loss, the seniors enjoyed the night and had a great opportunity to reminisce on their past experiences with the program. Senior Jewelia Rivera contributed nine points and senior Chloe Smith contributed six points.
