Daryl Lopez, a senior at GHS, is headed to Bellarmine University, a Division 1 school in Louisville, Kentucky, to play Sprint Football. Daryl chose Bellarmine because he was recruited and as well as the fact that it is a nice college and campus and is known for business.

According to Daryl, his definition of Sprint Football is “regular football with a faster pace and a weight limit.” Daryl began playing football because his dad introduced him to it, and it quickly became his favorite sport. “My inspiration was my father, and I even wore the number he wore.”

Lopez plans to pursue a major in Business Administration and a minor in Accounting. Lopez’s end goal with his major is to run his own business, and in football Daryl aspires to win the league championship all four years he’s at Bellarmine.
