Ms. Scartozzi is one of many new teachers here at Griffith and teaches math for middle school. Scartozzi taught 8th grade at 21st Century Charter School before coming to Griffith. Scartozzi said “It is the community, just the way everyone treats each other here in Griffith really caught my attention, and when I first walked into the building the staff was amazing. Griffith Public Schools community offers an all-around wonderful experience for the students and staff, it really works to bring everyone together. 

Scartozzi attended IUN for college and received her degree in secondary education in mathematics. Teaching was always something Scartozzi wanted to pursue and would even practice as a child acting as a teacher. Ms. Scartozzi said “the content of teaching is amazing. You pick something you are passionate about, and I am extremely passionate about teaching. The kids are amazing, very amusing and teaching them is a highlight of my day.”
