Meet Mr. Cody Michinewicz, one of GHS’ new Learning Resource Education teachers. Whether he’s leading his own class or stepping in as a co-teacher, Mr. Michinewicz is known for his calm, friendly presence and dedication to helping students reach their goals.
Teaching became his calling thanks to Mr. Mihail, a professor at PNW, who showed him that education is about more than lessons—it’s about becoming the person you want to be. Inspired, Mr. Michinewicz brings that same outlook to his students each day.
His favorite subjects to teach are science and history, where he enjoys connecting ideas across time and sparking curiosity in students. Looking back, one thing he wishes he had realized as a student is that “no matter where you end up going, there’s always something to learn.”
Outside the classroom, Mr. Michinewicz enjoys spending time with his family. He coaches baseball and is his child’s biggest fan at games.
With his supportive teaching style and approachable personality, Mr. Michinewicz is sure to make a positive impact on the GHS community.
