Mrs. Mosley is one of the new English teachers at Griffith High School. She began her teaching career in East Chicago, where she taught 7th and 8th graders. She then moved to Gavit High School in Hammond, Indiana, where she taught for another three years. After Gavit closed, she transitioned to Morton High School, where she taught for another three years.
Originally from Merrillville, Mrs. Mosley attended Merrillville High School. She initially enrolled at Purdue Northwest to pursue a nursing degree but realized it was not the right path for her. She then transferred to IUN in Gary and switched her major to education.
What attracted Mrs. Mosley to Griffith High School was the supportive environment, strong structure, and the connections she felt with both the teachers and students. She loves the community here. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her dog and family, and has a passion for dance, having been part of the dance team at Merrillville.
A fun fact about her is that she wears kids’ size shoes!
Although she does not have a specific favorite moment with students, she values the impact she makes on them and said, “The impact on the children makes me feel good and knowing that I actually make a difference in the world.”
Welcome to Griffith, Mrs. Mosely!
