It’s game time! The Lady Panthers are ready to compete against Illiana Christian in a crucial conference volleyball match. 

Illiana Christian traveled to Griffith for a conference matchup on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. While it was a very hard-fought match, Griffith fell short to Illiana, losing 0-3. Griffith was outscored by 10 or more points throughout each set. 

Even though the Lady Panthers lost during this matchup, they did show great team efforts to light up short comebacks against Illiana.” It is the little things we need to correct, such as footwork and positioning. I do believe as we get deeper into the season, we will become much better and show off our talent.” Said Head Coach Sarah Payne. 

Standout player Saniya Harper recorded 3 kills and 4 blocks against Illiana. Harper led the team in kills this game and scored when the Lady Panthers needed the energy to rally back into the game. When asked about facing adversity during the game, Harper said, “You cannot let the bad moments bring you or your team down. As a team, we must find a way to uplift everyone during those moments and fight through.”
