The Virginia Cavaliers won their first ever national title in school history after beating Texas Tech Red Raiders in overtime in Minneapolis on Monday, April 8.   With college basketball season in the past, some of the underclassmen have declared for the 2019 NBA Draft. The deadline to declare for the draft was April 21. If the underclassmen did declare they have until May 29 to withdraw from the draft and go back to playing in college. Players like Bol Bol (Oregon) , RJ Barrett (Duke), Zion Williamson (Duke), Eugene German (Northern Illinois), Ja Morant (Murray State), and many more athletes declared for the NBA Draft. Williamson is projected to get picked first in the NBA Draft. He is a 6-7, 285 pound forward who averaged 22.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.1 assist, 2.1 steals and 1.8 blocks in 30.0 minutes per game while shooting 68% from the field.

As soon as the basketball season ended, CBS Sports released 2019-2020 college basketball rankings on Monday April 8 with Michigan State ranked number one and Ohio State 25th.

Coaches are already in the recruiting process. Players like James Wiseman (East High School in Utah) and Vernon Carey Jr (Nova Southeastern University in Florida) have already signed to Memphis and Duke.

With the NCAA season already ended, there are many new beginnings for players.
