Lady Panthers Win Big Against Hammond Central

On Wednesday, September 14th, The Lady Panthers won their game against the Hammond Central Wolves. They won 5-0 with goals scored by senior Katlyn Noojin, freshman Regan Hornyak, sophomore Kayla Doctor, and senior Kylie Bell. Noojin’s first goal was a shot from the top of the box with a shot to the corner. “Playing against Hammond was probably one of my favorite games this year. I had a wonderful assist to Hornyak for her first ever varsity goal. Moments like that remind me why I love soccer so much”,said Noojin. Hornyak’s goal was a fast break through the defense and a shot to the upper right hand corner corner. Doctor’s goal was assisted by Noojin with a shot from the top of the penalty box with a shot to the upper 90 in the left corner. Bell’s first goal was assisted by Noojin with a shot to the lower right hand corner. Bell’s second goal was a fast break with another right hand shot to the corner. Senior Emma Jacobs had a total of 4 saves throughout the whole game.
“I think communicating and working together has always helped us work better as a team.”, said junior Chloe Smith.
